1. Not a Lender
Loans Alberta does not lend money, issue credit, or guarantee approval for any loan product. We connect visitors with third-party lenders and lending networks who may offer products based on their own criteria. Any loan agreement you enter into is solely between you and that lender.
2. No Guarantee of Approval or Terms
Submitting an application or inquiry through our site does not guarantee that you will be approved for a loan, or that you will receive any particular amount, rate, fee, or term. Approval, pricing, and funding times are determined entirely by the lender you are matched with and depend on your individual circumstances.
3. Alberta Payday Loan Regulations
Payday lending in Alberta is regulated under the Consumer Protection Act and the Payday Loans Regulation. Under current Alberta rules:
- The maximum a lender may charge is $14 for every $100 borrowed.
- A payday loan is for $1,500 or less, with a term between 42 and 62 days.
- Lenders must be licensed in Alberta, and borrowers have a cooling-off period during which a loan can be cancelled at no cost.
- Lenders cannot issue a new payday loan while another is outstanding, or roll one loan into another.
These figures are provided for general information and may change. Always confirm the current rules and your rights directly with the Government of Alberta at alberta.ca/payday-loans.
4. High-Cost Credit Warning
Payday loans and other short-term, high-cost credit products are expensive relative to their term. At the Alberta maximum of $14 per $100, a typical payday loan carries an annualized cost far higher than mainstream credit products. These loans are intended for short-term, emergency use only. Borrowing repeatedly or rolling over debt can lead to a cycle of debt that is difficult to escape. Consider lower-cost alternatives — such as a line of credit, an advance from your employer, or assistance programs — before borrowing.

Our site links to third-party websites, lenders, and application forms, including services operated within the archangelfs.ca network. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Reviewing their policies is your responsibility.
